DENTAL RECORDS PRO - HELP
Manage Persons
Before adding any medical records, you must first add a person.
Tap Options (3 dots) > Manage Persons > Add
When adding your first person, you will also select:
- Date Format — USA or EUR
This setting only needs to be selected once and will apply to all persons added to the app.
Changing Persons
On any record category page, tap the current person's name at the top of the page, then select another person.
Delete Person
To delete a person:
- Go to Options (3 dots) > Manage Persons
- Select the Delete tab.
- Select the person you want to delete.
- Confirm the deletion.
Important: Deleting a person will permanently delete all records associated with that person. This action cannot be undone.
Add, Edit, or Delete Health Records
Add a Record
Select the desired category from the menu to open its records page.
Tap the + (Add) icon to add a new record. Enter the information and save the record.
Edit or Delete a Record
Tap an existing record in the category list to open the options for that record.
From there, you can edit the record or delete it.
Provider Special Functions
To use the Maps Navigation and Call features, first add the provider on the Providers page.
Be sure to enter the provider's complete address and phone number. This information is used when opening Maps or placing a call from the app.
Using a Provider in an Appointment
When adding an appointment, tap Select Provider and choose the provider from your saved Providers list.
The provider's address and phone number are then saved with the appointment, allowing you to access Maps Navigation or Call directly from the appointment.
Teeth Numbers
Dental Records Pro organizes the 32 adult teeth into four quadrants, with eight teeth in each quadrant:
RUQ – Right Upper Quadrant
Teeth #1–#8
LUQ – Left Upper Quadrant
Teeth #9–#16
LLQ – Left Lower Quadrant
Teeth #17–#24
RLQ – Right Lower Quadrant
Teeth #25–#32
You can enter information for as many teeth as you know. If you are unsure about previous dental work, you can leave that information blank and update it later.
Add or Edit Tooth Information
From a quadrant page, tap a tooth to open the Edit Tooth page.
For each tooth, you can enter:
Status 1 — Select a status and, if known, enter the date.
Status 2 — Select a second status and, if known, enter the date.
Note — Enter any additional information about the tooth, including a date if appropriate.
Print Dental Record
You can create a text file containing a person's dental records to view, print, share, or email.
To Create a Dental Record File
- Tap Options (3 dots) > Print Dental Record.
- Select the desired person.
- Select Read to view the file or Share to send it to another app.
The dental record is created as a .txt file. Using Share, you can send the file to a compatible printing app, email, cloud storage, or other supported apps.
Choose Records to Include
Before creating the file, select Options (3 dots) > Print Settings to choose which dental record categories you want included.
Dental Document Images
Use Dental Document Images to keep photos or images of important dental documents with your records.
On the Add Image page, you can take a new photo with your device's camera or select an existing image from your photo gallery. Enter a name for the image, then save it.
Examples include dental X-rays, treatment plans, periodontal charts, referrals, insurance documents, and other important dental records.
View an Image
From the Images list, select an image and tap View Full Page to display a larger version.
Import or Export Health Data File
You can export your Dental Records Pro data and import it on another device running the app. This makes it easy to transfer your records without entering the information again.
Dental Records Pro uses two data files:
HealthDataFile.json — Contains the health records for all persons.
ProvidersFile.json — Contains your saved provider information.
Export a File
- Tap Options (3 dots) > Export (Share) File.
- Select HealthDataFile or ProvidersFile.
- Choose where you want to save or share the file using the options provided by your device.
Depending on your device, you may be able to save the file to cloud storage, email it, or share it directly with another device.
Import a File
- Tap Options (3 dots) > Import File.
- Browse to the location where you saved the exported file.
- Select HealthDataFile.json or ProvidersFile.json.
The file may be stored in Downloads, cloud storage, email attachments, or another location available on your device.
Tip: If you use the same cloud storage service on both devices, create a folder for your Dental Records Pro files. You can then export files to that folder and easily import them on your other device.
